Best Logo Redesigns of 2015
Last year was a big year for logos that were redesigned. We saw many large brands refresh and update their logos. Some successfully and others not so much.
These are some of the best redesigned logos of 2015:
IHOP's original logo was more detailed and the word "restaurant" was contained in a curve that faced down.
The new logo is cleaner and simpler. Instead of a frown, it now has a smile.
Sbarro updated their flag shaped logo when sales began to slump.
The logo now has a crisp new shape in the form in a pizza slice.
The original logo for Google Ventures maintained many of Google's old branding elements and had a lot going on.
The new logo used the new Google "G" which cuts into a sharp angled V creating a stronger image.

Facebook's original logo had some character when it came to the typeface.
Their new logo has very subtle changes that many people didn't even notice. The "a" and the "b" are the most noticeable changes while the "f" remains the same. Had you noticed the change?

3A Ingenieria SAS
Client
3A Ingenieria SAS
Updating of logo
Brochure, business card and letterhead redesign
Corporate presentation design
Corporate ID Manual
Brochure redesign
Eliminated and simplified a lot of the original copy
Created graphics that were clean, making information easier to read
Used shapes that remind reader of logo
Established a color palette that would help identify 3A Ingeniería and would create a more organized look rather than using a random color palette
Incorporated larger and more relatable images
Business Card and Letterhead redesign
A simple, clean and corporate design was used for the new business cards ensuring that the same font and colors were used throughout all of the communication pieces.
Corporate ID Manual
arangostudio created a manual to ensure that the logo is used correctly each time in every communications piece. Previously, the logo had been used in several sizes, sometimes making it difficult to read, the color of the logo changed and was not always the same blue and there wasn't consistency throughout the marketing material making it difficult to easily recognize the brand. The manual explains how to properly use the logo, color palettes and applications to different pieces, uniforms and merchandising.

A Look Back at Radio Shack
Now that Radio Shack may be no more after having filed for bankruptcy, we decided to take a look back at the the once very popular brand and it's evolving logo.
Original logo (1920s)
Updated logo (1940s)
The word the is removed from the logo (1950s)
Corporation is eliminated from the logo (1960s)
Big re design (1980s)
R icon is created (1995)
A lot of extra detail and effects added (2001)
...and it is simplified and flattened again (2011)
