The Clinton Foundation and Taná

arangostudio and avantgard media worked with the The Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative (CGSGI), a project of the William J. Clinton Foundation, to develop communication pieces in English that would help sell Taná products and tell the story of the women behind the product.

Taná was created by a group of afro-Colombian women living in Choco, one of Colombia's poorest regions. In order to gain a better income, they began growing herbs and spices that were native to their region and continued teaching the necessary skills to other women who were in similar situations.

CGSI has been assisting in Taná's growth and expansion. So when it came time to take the product to Canada, the foundation asked us to create new pieces in English based on Taná's already existing brand.

A brochure was created to tell the story of the women and the origins of these spices.

Recipe cards were designed suggesting uses for the herbs and spices as well as showcasing a few traditional Colombian recipes.

We also designed pieces that would be inserted into Taná's gift boxes and could also serve as a bookmark.
